BECOMING AN RVT

To become an RVT, you must first attend and graduate from an accredited college program and begin the registration process.  While being an RVT is an incredibly rewarding and exciting career, it can be confusing to determine what industry doors are open to you. Most people think of working in a veterinary clinic as the only path for an RVT, but the truth is that there are many other areas in animal health where RVTs are integral!

If you are a high school student looking into different career paths, someone seeking a second career or retraining, or an RVT looking to make a shift into a different industry area, the Registered Veterinary Technologists and Technicians of Canada (RVTTC) has recently launched the RVT Career Navigator, which was designed to be a career planning and advancement tool.
